🎓 M.A. Marriage and Family Therapy, Saint Mary’s University

I am a Rwandese American who has navigated and still navigates immigration and the multiple identities within systems that were built to suppress BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities alike. I believe in the power of story-telling and that the stories we tell ourselves & others shape our lives. Sometimes, these stories provide us great strength, healing, or understanding about the world around us; sometimes, we reach a point where these stories no longer support us so we may need to start a new chapter or re-write the narrative. In therapy, I wish to collaborate in a safe and affirming space the re-writing of stories that no longer serves you, to expand what is possible, and to dive into areas of your stories that bring you joy or challenge.

My therapy style is centered in mainly narrative therapy but I am interested in utilizing other modalities that support your journey (i.e IFS, solutions-focused, etc). I am passionate about working in areas of navigating grief, loss and trauma; exploring gender and sexuality, intimacy; and adjusting to life transitions. I have work experience supporting clients also navigating unemployment, poverty and other marginalizing experiences. I am interested during my practicum helping families to navigate how these experiences specifically impact their relationships.
My hobbies are ever changing but currently include puzzles, legos and watching all kinds of animation.

I received a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of St. Mary’s. I am working under the supervision of Jeong Eun Park, MS, LMFT.
