🎓Practicum Student, MA Marriage & Family Therapy, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (2022-23)

As a student of Marriage and Family Therapy, my approach to therapy is relational and primarily guided by systems theory. My work is also influenced by narrative, queer, and attachment theories. I consider therapy to be a healing modality through authentic and collaborative relationships between therapist and client.

I’m a bisexual, queer, non-monogamous woman, and longtime resident of South Minneapolis. I love being able to serve the communities I’m part of. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ folks and people in non-traditional relationships (kinky, ENM, polyamorous, open, etc.). I am most passionate about working with adolescents. I work with individuals, couples (or other relationship structure), and families. I’m particularly interested in complex/developmental trauma, grief and loss, and sex therapy. I’m sex-positive, body neutral/HAES, kink-friendly, and sex worker-allied.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I have been working and volunteering in the mental health field for nearly ten years. The past five years I’ve worked in a hospital setting, primarily on child and adolescent inpatient units. Shifting my career to providing outpatient therapy has been very exciting as the focus of my work has shifted from pathology and crisis stabilization to wellness and healing. I also have experience working in sexual assault crisis counseling, victim advocacy, and animal-assisted therapy with horses. My favorite volunteer experience was being a Shot Caller with Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition.

I am working as an intern therapist under the supervision of Dr. Alex Iantaffi as I complete my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
